                                    75 Grand ArmyHighway, Swansea, Ma.

 

Set-up/Arrival:   8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.  We ask all vendors to be set up by 9:50a.m. and stay set up until 4 p.m. Each vendor is responsible for clean-up of their own area.

 

Parking:                  Ample Parking for all Crafters/Vendors at the Venus DeMilo parking lot, on all sides of the building. You will want to use the main entrance door or left side door to unload. After unloading, please move your car so that other Crafters/Vendors have the opportunity to unload in the front as well. Please do not park your car in the front rows at the main entrance in order to keep the front parking space for the customers.

 

Space:                  The space will be approximately 8 x 4.   We have space for approximately 100 craft exhibitors. Your application will be accepted on a first- come, first serve basis. If additional items are being brought in such as racks, shelves or small tables please let us know on the application. You must still stay in your rented area and not spill over into someone else's space.  Special requests are limited (i.e. electricity, corner space, etc.) so please ask in advance. We will make every effort to try and accommodate everyone but it is not guaranteed. We will make every effort to have a wide variety of Vendors/Crafters, so that there is a minimal amount of Vendors/Crafters selling the same items. Please describe your items on your applications, so we can be as fair as possible to all Crafters/Vendors. We limit Jewelry Vendors to 20, and they sell out fast.

 

Entry Fee:             A fee of $85 covers the one 8ft table, two chairs, table cloths and advertisement unless you bring your own table then fee is $75. Your application form must be received as soon as possible to secure  your spot since the fair fills up quickly.  It is first come first serve.  No one is guaranteed a spot until we receive payment.  After September 30th there is no refund on any application. We also ask that all Crafters/Vendors donate one item to raffle off to be handed to us at time of registration on 11/19/17. All proceeds will be donated to TBD. A 24 hour Cancellation Policy is in effect. Please contact Nellie 774-365-9985 or Kimberly Santos 774-451-2532 if you are unable to attend as we will try to fill the spot.  Fee can be paid my check (personal or bank check) or money order.

All Applications must include:

  • The completed application form
  • A check/money order for the table/space fee, or extra space
  • Photocopy of current Sales & Use Tax Permit for MA  (not needed if you’re a direct selling company . i.e. avon, tastefully simple, Tupperware etc)
  • If you don’t have a MA Sale Permit, you must go onto www.mass.gov/dor website and register and they will provide you a permit. Any questions please call Mass Dor at 617-887-6367

 

* Once your exhibits are set-up you will not be permitted to break down until 4:00 when the craft fair has ended. Crafters/Vendors who break down early risk the chance of forfeiting their acceptance to our future fairs.

 

* Reminder this is a function room and is used for weddings so the lighting is not the brightest. If your display requires alot of/more lighting, Please bring your own additional lightening like spot lights/lamps.


* If your display requires electricity, please indicate this on your registration form. If so, please bring your own extension cord. Please note: outlets are limited in the room.

 

* If your display will include racks or shelves, please indicate that on your application b/c that will determine your location.  You will need to stay within your allowed space.


* We provide the table (8ft table or 2-4ft) and two chairs unless you prefer to bring your own. If bringing your own, please note that on application.


* We will have table cloths available for anyone who needs them. Participants are allowed to use their own colored or company logo table cloths if they prefer.

 

Lunch: there will not be any lunch served. Venus has a dining room in which dinner food can be ordered. There are also fast food restaurants nearby (Wendy's, McDonalds). You will need to provide your own coverage of your table should you leave for any period of time. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and lunch if you choose.

*Fair will be advertised throughout surrounding towns/communities through newspaper ads in multiple papers, posters, posting and mailing flyers, online advertisement (i.e. Who Fish, US Free Ads, East Bay Classifieds, Standar Times, Venus de Milo website, Herald News, Providence Journal, Swansea Town Calendar, facebook etc). We also provide a flyer to all crafters/vendors and ask that you email/mail to all your friends, family and customers.

Tables are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis and only reserved when payment is received. Table spaces will be pre-assigned. You will receive your location on the day of the fair. Doors open for set up at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the fair. Fair will run from 10-4 and we ask that everyone be set up by 9:50 a.m. and stay set up until 4 p.m. and clean up area prior to leaving.
